I never liked the sound of quad-sli to begin with. I had actually put my up on Kijiji I was thinking about getting the ti it sounds like an absolute beast, Plus, when the price drops on those I can always pick up a second one for dual sli and I bet that'd be a lot better than quad s. I was in your shoes not to long ago, like 2 weeks ago. I got the second card and went quad. My One was fine but its like a WWiI grandfather. Its not the new cards today but it still performs greatly.
Was it worth adding the other card? I mean, I like my benchmark scores. Plus, it lookes really nice in my case. But, do I have regrets, no. Is it worth going quad, I will say this, its not for the faint at heart. You will get psst off, you will be confused at results and having to configure every game. As confusing as this sounds, I did it, I am happy with it, but I would not advise anyone to do it To make things hurt worse, not only do i have quad, I also have a for physx.
Haha wow this is such an old post. I just happen to be up right now. Figure it didn't pay off immediately but I think it'll pay off in performance when I pick up a second Ti when the price drops significantly enough and put them in SLI.

As a 2x user, i got same problems as you guys. I tried lots of things and found the solution of my problem by updating my motherboards drivers and bios to the latest.
You can try it but the system you build is very important to get max from these cards i think. Nvidia not only try to sell these cards, they must support quad sli users by drivers and tutorials. Next time i will look deeply into the other card manufacturer before i upgrade my system. I wish we could get max of these cards in the future with the next-gen games.
I have the same problem and I,m getting crazy! I've read a lot of ppl with troubles with the 2x gtx sli escalation but didnt find any solution jet : Please help! How did u solve your problems with ur 2 x gtx quadsli scalation problems?
Has anyone any update on the gtx sli performance? Instead of selling my to buy a I was thinking about getting a second First of all make sure your BIOS are updated. And second, you can't just run Quad-SLI without any tweaking. I needed to boost my NB Voltage and stabilize my entire system with all frequencies and voltages.
You need to have knowledge about how everything works before trying to run Quad-SLI. It took some time to tweak, but in all honesty the only thing that I needed to set to get the Quad to work was my NB Voltage and PCI-e boosted my a fraction.
I am not gonna put down any detailed information of what anyone should do because every system is unique and I won't be responsible for others failures. Things you need to understand about Quad-GPU. You cannot simply expect to run this in all games. As much as nvidia has optimized the drivers as good as possible, the games don't have to like it.
I had low expectations and actually was surprised by the results. Naturally Quad runs well with benchmarks, because its are optimized to run all kinds of setups. BF4 works great with my Quad. Skyrim runs great with Quad, so does Crysis and Dead Space 2 and greater. I managed to make my system work because I know how to set it up. If you are thinking of running Quad and just want to connect a second card and want it to work, then refrain from buying a second card.
Unless you are prepared and have knowledge of how to solve problems with Quad then you shouldn't be messing around with it. Always think about what games you play, and which ones actually supports Qusd properly. Everything was fine, but I fancied adding a second card whilst I could still find one. My specs are; Watercooled i clocked at 4. Admittedly, the performance increase seems rather less than stellar, certainly not anything to write home about, but the system seems stable after three weeks of heavy use.
Using latest whql drivers. Hi yo mate Can you help? I have same Rampage IV Ext. Most games don't even take advantage of multi-GPUs. It's not as good for gaming as a single faster GPU. It better be a top of the line for bucks, you can sometimes find a for bucks.
That's what I would do, go for the A bit overkill for p but if you're spending close to bucks on a , if it's not much more might as well spend a little more on a Will be that much faster in a few years. Vram doesn't stack in sli. You have 2gb which really isn't enough for p let alone ultrawide. Quad sli also doesn't scale well, at all. Skip it and get a better single gpu. Usable memory.
The is a dual gpu card, each gpu has 2gb each. So while a does have 4gb in total, you have 2gb usable in sli. The this is that the can use the V Ram from both of the cards. It s made so, that s why I bought it instead of something like a It has 4Gb, usable vram.
Yes it can use 4gb but sli only has 2gb mirrored because that's how sli works. Unfortunately it's just wishful thinking for it to be able to have 4gb in sli. It's just 2x on a single pcb. You must log in or register to reply here. Post thread. Question Super giving me worse frames than a ?
