If your team has at least one support character that knows what he needs to do, you have an excellent chance to get success.
Hero: Phoenix. Description: An ancient relic pulled from the massive, dune-swept crater at the edge of the Scintillant Waste. Hero: Elder Titan. Description: The Elder Titan studies the jagged pieces of his broken world, his bellows ready to stoke the spirit forge that might reshape the fragments return them to the one true form.
Hero: Storm Spirit. But no power comes without struggle, even for a Celestial. Though his skill allows for an effortless appearance, it is through sheer will alone that Raijin is able to harness the excess forces that flow from each jolt of his abilities. Being a pro player is the highest stepping stone in the Dota 2 gaming world.
Many young and old gamers throughout the world dream about becoming professional players. It sounds perfect, but how do you become a pro player in Dota 2? Hero: Lifestealer. Hero: Earthshaker. Description: In the deepest grip of earth-bound slumber, the being who would become Raigor Stonehoof sensed a multitude of creatures moving at the edges of awareness.
They crawled in simple patterns, casting a wakeful luminescence across the walls of stonelocked caves where celestial light would never shine. Hero: Venomancer. Description: Following a particularly injurious victory, the Venomancer slithered into a crack in the earth, to coil around himself and focus on regaining full strength. But his chosen place of rest had a much older purpose.
Mistaken for a herald of their lord, Venomancer was content to receive the offerings directly…until his strength returned, and he could trail the shamans back to their village for a much larger meal. Purchasable items are available in the shops on the map. There is a shop in each team base and two secret shops placed symmetrically in the offlane.
Items in the shop on the right, displayed beside hero, and item drop timer. However, you cannot choose the neutral item; a random one will drop at different times in the game. Neutral items are divided into five tiers; each tier is activated after a certain amount of time has elapsed in the game.
So a random neutral item will drop from the tier depending on the time in the game. All heroes have a dedicated neutral item slot and can only carry one neutral item at a time. Only four neutral items drop from each tier. They are shareable so irrespective of which player picks them up, they can be passed on to a teammate. Pro tip: Give your core heroes preference on which neutral items should be held by which hero.
In case a certain item is known to work well for a certain hero, give preference for that hero to carry the item over a core hero.
While items are divided into Neutral and Purchasable depending on how they are acquired, they can also be classified based on how they are used. These give us three categories of items overall.
Active items. Passive items. Take a look at this list below. Usually, teammates share Tango with the Mid player. With these items, you will be able to farm a lot, harass your opponent, and effectively gain gold and experience.
For example, Blink Dagger will increase your mobility significantly. And the Eul's Scepter of Divinity will increase your mana regeneration, which is always an issue for all casting heroes. Plus, its active skill will give you some crowd control if used on an enemy or a way to avoid an enemy spell if used on yourself. One more useful item would be Orchid Malevolence. For the late game, you need powerful artifacts that can change the outcome of the fight.
If there is a lot of magic damage, then the purchase of the Black King Bar is a must. Also, a very good choice would be Scythe of Vyse, which gives you control over the opponent. At this stage of the game, 3. Wards, Tangos, Healing Salves, and Clarity —will provide good support to his teammates, providing all the help he can.
Supports never have a lot of money at hand. From the very beginning, you have to give Tango to your Mid lane player. If the enemy team has heroes with invisibility, you will have to buy Sentry Wards and Dust of Appearance. However, eventually, you will be able to purchase the artifacts. You should focus on buying items that will be helpful for the team, such as Arcane Boots and Mekansm, for example.
They allow your allies to restore HP and MP. Moreover, in order to increase your survivability and to occasionally save your Carry you buy a Glimmer Cape, as this item can give you, or your ally, invisibility. Even though the time this skill is active is rather short, in Dota 2 even one second can become game-changing. At this stage, you continue to buy items that can help your team. Force Staff is the item that can never be overestimated.
Aside from the passive bonuses like HP regen and increase in Intellect, its active skill is extremely important in any situation: it pushes the selected target or yourself in the direction you are looking at. Equipment includes low-cost items focused primarily on increasing attack damage, armor, or attack speed. A lot of what is found here is actually quite cost-effective in the early to mid game, with many even leading into better recipe items later on.
Gloves of Haste for example is one of the components for Power Treads. The Miscellaneous category houses items similar to the Attributes group, but the items here increase secondary stats instead. Wind Lace on the other hand increases movement speed, as does Boots of Speed. Contains all the items found in the Secret Shop. Nearly all of the items here are used to build into some of the most expensive items in the entire game. Ring of Health is especially notable, as it is a very popular early regen item for carries.
Accessories include recipe items built primarily with components from the Attributes category. These are great for boosting your effectiveness in the early game, while also saving on item slots.
Magic Wand is perhaps the best example of this, as it combines three separate items into one convenient early game package. Items under the support category generally include aura items or items with active healing abilities. As the name implies, they are suited more for support heroes, though off lane heroes can also find use for some of the selections here.
There are also some support-friendly items in here though, such as Force Staff and Glimmer Cape. Need to beef up and take more hits, whether physical or magical? Look no further than the Armor category. The good stuff. Items in the Weapons branch build directly from the Equipment category and really help cores dish out late game damage.
Items under the Artifacts branch are known for having attack modifiers built into them.
